THE VOLUNTARINESS, LEGALITY AND TIMELINESS OF THE ENTRY OF THE TUVAN PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC TO THE USSR AND THE RSFSR (ON THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HISTORICAL EVENT)
In the article dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Tuva's voluntary entry into the USSR and the RSFSR in October 1944, the author's attention is focused on revealing three main aspects of this truly fateful event for Tuva - its voluntariness, legality and timeliness. It also notes the speculative approach of liberal authors to covering these issues without strong reliance on sources. The author notes the lack of study by the predecessors of a number of important aspects and details of the problem, and a more indepth study was undertaken, including with the involvement of new sources (periodicals and archival documents). The conclusions of the Russian authors on the voluntariness, legality and timeliness of Tuva's entry into the Soviet Union and Russia were confirmed and strengthened in the article.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FOLKLORE HERITAGE OF ONDAR DARYMA FOR TUVAN SCIENCE
In this article, the author, based on his previous articles and new publications about the collector of Tuvan folklore O. K.-C. Darym, for the first time provides a generalized scientific analysis of the material he collected. As a result of the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that the multifaceted activities of O.K.-C. Daryma should be considered in the system of traditional culture of the Tuvan people and continue to study their heritage from the point of view of new approaches of modern folklore.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE NAMES OF MEASURES IN TUVAN HEROIC TALES
The article is devoted to the analysis of foreign-language names of measures in the corpus of 64 published Tuvan heroic tales. The composition of 17 lexical units with orthographic and phonetic variants, as well as with derivatives recorded in the texts, is determined. It was revealed that 6 units are obsolete, 8 are found only in the language of folklore, 3 are not recorded in the lexicographic sources of the Tuvan language and in works on Tuvan lexicology. A significant part of the analyzed lexical units is unknown to modern native speakers. In most cases, the source language and the intermediary language from the Chinese and East Tocharian languages is Mongolian, 4 units are borrowed from the Russian language. The names of measures are divided into five semantic groups: measures of length and distance; measures of fabric; measures of volume; measures of weight and cost; measures of time. It is concluded that foreign language vocabulary in the language of Tuvan folklore requires further study and description by means and methods of linguafolklore studies and linguacultural studies.

THE FAMOUS PERSONS OF URYANKHAI IN 1914 IN THE WORKS OF SERGEI AND KSENIA MINTSLOV
The article examines the most famous photographs of the first persons of Tuva in 1914, indicating the place of their modern storage in the Archive of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The collection consists of two parts: in the album “Uryanghai Region” the photographs are glued and signed by hand, apparently by S. Mintzlov - Category 112 Inventory 1. No. 483, and in the second part - separately: Category 112 Inventory 1. No. 189 - 65 photos. The indisputability of their authorship and the authenticity of their names are proven by the travelers themselves Sergey and Ksenia Mintzlov.

THE ART OF YURI OORZHAK (IN MEMORY OF THE MASTER)
The author attempts to study the peculiarities of the work of the Tuvan master stonecutter Yuri Oorzhak (1959-2023). The phenomenon of Yu.D. Oorzhak, a recognized national stonecutter artist who did not receive a basic art education, is undeniable. The gifted master independently mastered the skills of stone-cutting art, thanks to his diligence, he achieved recognition in the professional artistic environment. Previously published materials concerning the work of this Tuvan carver are of a reference, fragmentary nature, limited to small prefaces in catalogs of art exhibitions or articles in periodicals, more often regional newspapers. The author of the article reviewed and analyzed some of the master’s works from the early 2000s, as well as small plastic created by the artist in the last years of his creative activity. Among them are such works as «The Terrible Sarlyk», «The Little Hero», «Oitulaash» and others. Formal and biographical methods helped to reveal the general and particular features of the stonecutter’s work. The empirical and qualitative methods used in writing this article also made it possible to reflect previously unexplored aspects of the issue in the material. Early works by Yu. Oorzhak made of agalmatolite and serpentinite are mostly made in a traditional realistic decorative style, static. In terms of genre, his small plastic is quite similar, since Yuri Dazhovich preferred to carve compositions depicting animalistic subjects (shags, argali, camels, etc. in statics or dynamics). His works are unique in their generalized vision and decor, which demonstrates the dynamics of a static figure. Small animalistic figures are as solid and solid in their nature as a full-fledged round sculpture.

FEATURES OF THE DEMOGRAPHIC, SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL AND SOCIO-CLASS STRUCTURE OF TUVAN SOCIETY (THE MATERIALS OF THE AGRICULTURAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC CENSUS OF 1931)
The article analyzes the features of the demographic, socio-professional and socio-class structure of Tuvan society in the period of the Tuvan People’s Republic on the base of materials of the Tuvan Agricultural and Demographic Census of 1931. The author has investigated number, territorial settlement, socio-ethnic composition, as well as the gender, age and educational structure of the population of the TNR. There is an analysis of employment, participation of the population in public organizations, elected positions, as well as property relations and social stratification of the population.
